Born and raised in NYC; served in Krishna temples for 13 years as head of French language publications; earned his degrees in religious studies, has taught Holocaust history at Fordham and Hofstra Universities; guest speaker on war crimes at the Pentagon, the Judge Advocates College, and law schools nationwide; author of several bestselling biographies, including Here Comes the Sun, which inspired this tribute concert. . Godfrey Townsend

Guitarist & Vocalist

Godfrey Townsend, a world-renowned musician/vocalist, who currently tours as the lead guitarist with the legendary 60’s British group, The Yardbirds, has played with some of the greatest names in rock ’n’ roll, including John Entwistle (The Who), Jack Bruce (Cream), Dave Mason (Traffic) and The Alan Parsons Live Project. For more than 10 years, he has also been the musical director for the long-running, well-received “Happy Together” tour.

Michael has been producing and performing for 15+ years. His work has been recognized by Greg Lake (ELP, King Crimson), Seal, Zedd, and Geoff Emerick (Beatles' sound engineer) to name a few. He has recorded with New York bands Towards Violet and This Loch Ness Monster and has been a part of Godfrey Townsend's live show for 3 years. Michael joined the Here Comes the Sun Tribute in 2018.

Bassist & Vocalist

Born and raised in Bayside, NY (and a lifelong Beatles fan), has been playing guitar since he was 17, switching to bass in the 90’s; currently bass player for national acts The Doobie Others and AM/FM Time Machine, among other bands. He loves singing harmonies and George is his favorite Beatle.

Guitarist & Vocalist

Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and Beatles fanatic from Huntington, New York; has worked with such renowned artists as Mariah Carey, Gene Simmons, Steve Holley (Paul McCartney and Wings) and Richie McDonald of Lonestar; currently touring with Mike DelGuidice. Joe has performed with several Beatles tribute bands over the years and is perhaps known best for his love of George Harrison’s catalogue.

Drummer & Vocalist

Drummer from Valley Stream, NY; playing professionally for over 30 years, has a Master’s from Manhattan School of Music, has played with many world-class musicians including guitarists Tommy Emmanuel, Frank Vignola, Bucky Pizzarelli; vocalists Liza Minelli, Jane Monheit, Janis Siegel (The Manhattan Transfer), Ska legends The New York Citizens, Dem Brooklyn Bums, comedians Rich Little and Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling, and more. Rich is thrilled to be driving the rhythm section for Here Comes the Sun.
